GARDEN TRACTOR PULL RULES
1. Contest open to 2 wheel drive, rear wheel drive rubber tired tractors. No recapped tires, no dual wheels, no chains, studs or paddle tires permitted.
2. All vehicles are subject to safety and rule compliance inspection by track officials.
3. Any competitor refusing to have their vehicle inspected shall not be permitted to enter and/or pull in the class in question until legality is established.
4. It is mandatory that all drivers attend the drivers meeting held before the start of the event.
5. No portion of the tractor may interfere with the hitch of the sled. The chain and kill switch cord must be easily hook able without inference. (Provided they don’t cause interference, weight brackets/ weights may extend a maximum of 6 inches behind the rear tire)
6. No vehicle can exceed 6 foot in length. (Weights not included)
7. Any weights can’t exceed 8 feet forward from center of rear axle.
8. Judgment calls by track officials are final and not subject to appeal. Any disputes
may be handled after the pulling event is over in a friendly manner.
9. All vehicles must be operated in a safe manner.
10. Any driver that wraps his or her fingers under the fender will be disqualified.
11. Driver will remain in the seat for the duration of the pull event.
12. Flagman can, and will stop, any pull attempt considered unsafe.
13. Young drivers must show that they have experience operating the tractor they are about to pull. They will demonstrate this by driving the tractor safely to the weight in scale and to the sled for hookup. A parent is expected to remain alongside their child during the process.
14. At no time will a tractor be left running unattended.
15. Drivers of stock tractors must wear closed toed shoes. All stock altered and modified drivers must wear long pants, long shirt and closed toed shoes.
16. It is mandatory that stock altered and modified drivers wear DOT/SNELL rated helmets with chin straps fastened.
17. All vehicles must have functional brakes and steering.
18. Wheelie bars are recommended for all classes, but mandatory for stock altered/ modified tractors.
19. All vehicles must have a drawbar that is stationary in all directions with hitching device not being more than ¾ inches in thickness, and must have a 1 ½ inch diameter opening. The pulling point may not be more than ½ inch from the back edge of the hitching device, parallel to and not more than 13 inches above ground.
20. A kill switch is mandatory for stock altered and modified.
21. Battery and fuel tank shall be fastened securely.
22. Only 2 hooks per tractor per day.
